Why You Should Integrate

Integrating with FlexNet Manager Suite will allow hardware asset augmentation and validation, and find new systems not covered by Flexera to ensure software license compliance.

How Does the Integration Work

This integration pulls all devices from the ComplianceComputer table within the Compliance database.
This data is only used internally; we do not share it with any parties outside of Sevco. Refer to our privacy policy for details.

Configuration

  1. Install a runner: Follow our instructions to install a runner.

  2. Choose a runner: Select the runner you would like to use for retrieving data from the source.

    • Requirements:
      -1433/TCP to FlexNet Manager Suite SQL Server Database
  3. Configure plugin:

  1. Configure Name: OPTIONAL: You can give the configuration a name to provide an identifiable attribute of the configuration to delineate other similar configurations.

  2. Activate Config: To enable this configuration and begin pulling data select "Activate". If you wish to save the configuration to come back later to finish, select "Save Draft". This will save the configuration, but keep it disabled until Activated.

Creating Credentials

You'll be asked to provide source credentials that Sevco will use to connect to the Flexera MS SQL database. Mixed Authentication mode is required. It is recommended to create a new user on the Microsoft ECM SQL server with the required permissions.

Required Permissions

The following user permissions are required on the FNMS Compliance database

  • db_datareader
  • SELECT privileges to the following tables:
    • ComplianceComputer
